I want to move to California after high school, not just for University benefits, but permanently. With my intentions to remain in Southern California after graduating college I feel it would be appropriate for me to take advantage of in-state benefits when it comes to tuition. I've been researching what the requirements are for becoming a resident and so far I've been able to find that you must live in-state and work a full time job for a year to show financial independence. I already plan on doing this before attending a college, but I intend to live with my grandparents during that period of time. Could this hinder my chances of gaining residency?... Read More »
